Stevenson Bell advises clients on building services and construction projects across London and the wider UK. We are a professional consultancy, not a design studio and not a contractor — but we have spent enough time alongside both to know how each thinks.
The firm exists because good technical advice and good delivery experience are too often held by different people, in different organisations, at different stages. Our work is founded on years of project and contractor-side experience: pricing work, sequencing it, coordinating it in constrained plant spaces, commissioning it under programme pressure and handing it over to teams who then have to operate it. That background informs the consultancy advice we now give clients.
It means our specifications are written to be tendered and installed. Our programmes are read for their logic rather than their presentation. Our reports identify what matters commercially, and say so directly. Clients tell us the difference is the absence of surprises. We are deliberately structured to stay close to the work — senior, agile and personally involved — while operating with the discipline, documentation and professional standards expected of an established practice. We work to formal appointment terms on every instruction.
Discretion matters to us. Much of our work sits within confidential estates, transactions and secure environments, and we do not trade on client names.
